Whilst in Year 12, you will be required to work through 8 core modules that cover a variety of cyber security areas of learning, as well as one of our exciting Specialist or Innovation modules, completing a reflective journal as you finish each one. Each module consists of online sessions, videos, games and suggested reading.
Once completed, you will have the opportunity to extend your learning in your chosen area of Cyber by formulating a title for a cyber project (Project Proposal) which will need to receive approval from CIISec. You can start working on your written research project over the summer holidays.
You will receive a certificate of completion from CIISec for completing the online modules, even if you do not wish to continue with the programme into Year 13.
In Year 13, you will continue refining your project ready for submission. You will also need to deliver a presentation reflecting not only on your project topic, but on your whole learning journey.
Your project will be submitted to CIISec in January and you will receive your awarded grade in August on A level results day. An A* grade is worth up to 28 UCAS points.
We hope you enjoy learning about the world of Cyber. We’ll be with you alongside your allocated supervisor to support you through the process and wish you every success!
